This article shows the Acer Hummingbird Swift 3 notebook, from the outside to the inside, a comprehensive understanding. Take a closer look at the AMD Ryzen 7 2700U processor and what surprises this notebook instinctively brings in terms of mold design.

The appearance of this Hummingbird Swift 3 is made of aluminum alloy metal, A, C, D are all integrated, which is also a solution used by many notebooks at present, simple, conducive to heat dissipation, and sturdy.
The appearance size of the whole machine is 370.5×255×18.9mm, weight 2.1kg, after all, there is a 15.6-inch large screen, so this thickness and weight are also within an acceptable range, recommended for office and home environments.
Full HD IPS screen, 1920×1080 resolution; 170-degree viewing angle, Corning glass full veneer, the display effect is still good, this resolution is also the most suitable for daily office, for the application interface and web page adaptation, the tolerance is excellent.
In fact, many people still like a more traditional screen appearance (but not a big black edge), the field of view of the full screen is large, but this front camera, when used, is still indispensable, if designed to the bottom, the video is still a little awkward.
I prefer this kind of screen that can be tiled mode, at least to make the screen open at a larger angle.
Although it is also full-size, the buttons do not look big, and the number key area is added on the right side, which will be more useful for financial personnel who often enter numbers. The entire C-side is also integrally molded, which is relatively simple.
With LED backlight, not adjustable. Backlighting is crucial in dimly lit environments.
The integrated trackpad is finely cut at the edges.
AMD Ryzen 7 logo, three-dimensional design. It looks stylish.
The sticker of the functional highlight, also with fingerprint recognition.
The thickness of the 18.9mm body is not thick, but in terms of interfaces, this notebook is still very rich. On the left side are the power socket, HDMI interface, USB 3.1 Type C Gen 1, 2 USB 3.0 (one of which supports shutdown charging), headphones, and microphone 2-in-1 audio ports.
The interface on the right is an all-in-one card reader, a USB 2.0 port and a computer keyhole.
On the D side, you can see that the front of the fuselage adopts a diagonal angle design, which looks thinner and lighter. Since the A and C sides are parallel and there are no design grooves, it is slightly inconvenient when opening the cover, at least you need to cooperate with both hands to open it.
Speakers, left and right. Next, let's disassemble the notebook and see the internal structure.
The back cover is easier to remove, and there are no hidden screws, but you need a special tool for hexagon, which is generally available in the set of tools. It can be seen that the internal isolation and shielding have been done a lot, and the hard disk and processor are all enclosed.
This is the cooling seen after opening the enclosure, the processor system, and the SSD on the right. The advantage of being closed is that it is dustproof, and then the signals will not interfere with each other, and it is relatively independent in terms of heat dissipation and will not stream.
Tangdu AC14B8K 4-cell lithium-ion battery, Acer's exclusive battery. Before disassembling other accessories, first disconnect the battery cable.
Tangdu AC14B8K 4-cell lithium-ion battery, 46Wh.
Various certification logos on the back, if you need to replace the battery in the future, you must buy the regular original.
After removing the battery, below is the trackpad and cables, and the motherboard CMOS-powered battery is also under it. When disassembling the motherboard, these cables must be removed, first, do not tear it off, and secondly, remember the position.
After that, you can disassemble the accessories separately, the SSD and the interface on the right.
Hynix 128GB solid state drive. Hybrid hard drive is the current mainstream solution, solid state drive can make the Windows 10 system boot speed open in seconds, but 128GB is not large, so when installing the application, you need to reasonably allocate the installation path to avoid filling up the C drive space.
SK hynix chip.
2.5-inch WD Western Digital hard drive, 5400 rpm, 128MB cache, SATA3.0 interface. The hard drive comes with a fixed shelf, which is relatively stable.
After uncovering the black paper on the processor area, you can see this isolation cover, unscrew the fixed screws, and need to be carefully removed.
Open the isolation cover, under the copper tube is the processor, and the surrounding 8 chips are memory, a total of 8GB, dual-channel. Unfortunately, the memory cannot be upgraded. The heat dissipation area on the double copper tubes, especially the processor, is actually not large, and the processor is farther away from the heat sink. If the distance can be shortened, maybe the heat dissipation effect will be better.
Memory details. Micron chips.
Cooling fan. No brush motor.
If you can use ultra-thin metal blade fans, you should also be able to increase heat dissipation efficiency.
Rear-mounted cooling air outlets.
Wireless WiFi module.
Remove all the cables and screws connected to the motherboard, and you can remove the motherboard and processor system. The integration of the motherboard is still very high, and the current better devices are also used in the selection of capacitors.
The back of the motherboard.
Heat sink.
After removing the heat pipe, you can see the processor. AMD Ryzen 7 2700U, quad-core and eight-thread, base frequency 2.2GHz, maximum 3.8GHz, 14nm process, TDP15W, support 2400MHz DDR4 memory. In terms of graphics, it is a Radeon RX Vega 10 Graphics core display, 10 Vega computing units, and a core frequency of up to 1.3GHz.

At this point, our disassembly is completed, in fact, the battery, hard disk, motherboard, fan, WiFi, speaker, memory is not replaceable. The disassembly is relatively simple, and the internal isolation is more meticulous. As for the performance evaluation of the hardware, you are welcome to check out our review article.
